Asbestos Initial Classes

This 5 day course is designed to satisfy the training requirements of EPA and many states for both asbestos abatement supervisors and contractors. Home improvement & remodeling contractors, environmental officers, occupational safety & health officers and others who desire a broad overview of asbestos abatement will also benefit from this course. The course includes practical training exercises that allow participants to practice the knowledge and skills they have gained in a realistic setting.

This 3 day course is designed to satisfy the training requirements for persons who conduct asbestos inspection activities. It covers investigating for the presence of suspected asbestos containing materials (ACM), bulk sampling, assessing suspect ACM, and report writing. EPA, OSHA and many states (including MN & WI) require this course for persons who perform any of these activities.

Prerequisite: Asbestos Inspector Initial Training

This 2 day course is designed for persons who develop strategies to manage asbestos hazards in buildings. This course satisfies the EPA training requirements, as well as the requirements of many states, for persons who write and update Management Plans required by AHERA in schools.

This 3 day course is designed to satisfy the training requirements for persons seeking certification to design asbestos abatement projects. Topics covered include designing abatement solutions, safety system design and specifications, writing abatement specifications, cost estimation, legal and insurance concerns, and applicable rules and regulations. Take one class to satisfy both Minnesota and Wisconsin training requirements.

This 4 day course is designed to satisfy the training requirements of EPA and many states for asbestos abatement workers. It also satisfies the training requirements for persons conducting Class I, II, or III asbestos activities under 29CFR1926.1101. The course includes practical training exercises that allow participants to practice the knowledge and skills they have gained in a realistic setting.

This 2 day course is designed for persons who encounter and/or disturb asbestos while conducting maintenance related activities in a building. This course satisfies the training requirements for persons conducting Class III Asbestos Work activities under 29CFR1926.1101.

Prerequisite: Asbestos Supervisor or Worker Initial Training.

This 2 day course is designed to satisfy the training requirement under Minnesota Asbestos Abatement Rules for persons conducting air sampling on an asbestos project.
